LIFE OF JE IN UPPCL
Life of UPPCL JE depends upon nature of posting
Posting
In UPPCL : Normally after Training at ETI posting is allotted ( which
is called as On Job Training ) . Posting May be Broadly as follows :
1) JE Distribution
2) JE Transmission
3) JE Headquarter ( Shakti bhawan).
1 ) JE Distribution : Public Dealing , IN charge of 33/11 kv
substations , life is quite hectic here as we have to maintain supply as
well as solve the public issues like : Bill Correction , and other
billing Issues. In Distribution there are also the chances of getting
attached to Exen Office , SE office , CE office . In office attach no
Field work only Reporting and clerical works .
2) JE Transmission : May get posting in 132 KV , 220 KV , 400KV substations .
132 KV substation : JE is IN charge of Substation .
220 KV Substation : SDO/AE is IN charged More than one JEs may be posted .
SDO
is Responsible for operation and maintenance and Je have to work as per
SDO`s direction.
400 KV : There two kind of posting in 400KV substation.
a) JE operation : In this type
of posting Je is posted in shift normally 8 hrs duration. No Financial
Powers.
b) JE
Maintenance : This is same as in case of 220 KV or 132 KV have to
maintain Substation Through Tender , MB etc.
3) JE Headquarter : Normally an attached post as in Distribution for reporting Clerical Works.
Life in Transmission is easier as there is no public dealing , Revenue collection Targets etc.
